This has been a favorite recipe for our customers!
Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle
2 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract
...........
1/2 pint whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. sugar
............
1 or 2 angel food cakes (depends on size
of the cake, if it is smaller use 2)
.............
2 quarts fresh strawberries, thinly
sliced
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. almond extract
In a mixing bowl, cream the softened
cream cheese and powdered sugar.
Add sour cream, vanilla and almond
extract. Set aside.
In mixing bowl, whip the whipping cream,
vanilla and sugar.
Fold whipped cream into cream cheese
mixture.
Add cake pieces and mix together gently.
Set aside.
Combine strawberries, sugar and almond
extract, drain if you have excess liquid.
Layer the cream cheese and cake
mixture alternately with the strawberries, ending with the strawberries.

This is very pretty in a crystal punch or trifle
bowl for elegant entertaining. |
