Antique French Hunting Basket. This is an original sturdy and strong antique French hunting basket in a close weave that would have been used for transport of fish or birds in days gone by. This antique basket has some age to it and has certainly been used as part of a hunter or fisherman's life. There is a strong metal hook that slides along to ensure that it is closed. 12 1/4"wide, 7" high Some surface rusting on the metal work but this French basket is in good condition, especially seeing as this has been used for a real purpose and is authentic.
