Antique Mauchline Ware Box. Mauchline Ware marked the beginning of Victorian souvenirs in the late 1800's. This mauchline ware box has a transfer image of Rothesay, West Bay and is also marked 'Thomas Campbell Rothesay'. It measures approximately 3 1/2" tall. I am not convinced that the lid is the original as usually the transfer will complete the oval and so I would think that there would be a little of the oval of the transfer also on the lid. It is a great piece, neverless!
